About this resource

This resource includes written, audio and visual content on all stages of the cervical screening process.

As part of Ireland’s Cervical Cancer Elimination Action Plan, it was recognised that an independent website, developed with strong public and patient involvement, would be valuable.

During the development of mycervicalscreening.ie, several focus groups were formed following open calls for participation, and a series of online workshops were held. Public and Patient Involvement (PPI) played a key role in shaping both the content and the design of the website.

All PPI participants were paid for their contributions. mycervicalscreening.ie was funded by the Women’s Health Fund from the Department of Health.
