- Explain cervical screening

- Go with you to the appointment
You do not have to go alone.

You have the right to be treated with respect.
It is okay to:
- Ask for a female nurse or doctor
- Ask questions
- Ask for more time
- Ask for things to be explained again
Bring someone you trust
You can bring:
- A family member
- A friend
- A Traveller health worker
This can help you feel safe and calm.

Some doctors understand Traveller culture.
They offer kind and respectful care.
Traveller groups can help you find these doctors.
If you are treated unfairly
Being treated unfairly is not okay.
You can:
- Talk to the GP clinic
- Contact the HSE
- Ask Traveller groups like Pavee Point for help
